DocsManaging your menu
The customer menu assistant
The “Ask the assistant” button on your page answers customers by text or voice and suggests your items. Premium plans.
With the Premium plan, an Ask the assistant button appears next to the search on your restaurant page. The customer types or speaks, the assistant answers from your own menu, and shows the matching items so they can order in one tap.
What does it do?
- Plain-language search: “something spicy under 50 SAR” or “what's the lightest option?”.
- Recommendations: “what do you suggest for two?”, or what suits kids or vegetarians.
- Understands dialects of Arabic, English and a mix of both, and replies in the customer's language.
- By voice: a microphone button to speak, and replies read aloud (they can be muted). It works in Chrome and Safari; browsers without support do not show the microphone.
Limits and safety
- It answers from your menu only, and never invents items, prices or ingredients.
- Asked about ingredients or allergies that your item description does not state, it says it does not know and suggests asking the restaurant. Write important ingredients in the item description so it can use them.
- It never suggests sold-out items.
- Questions are limited per visitor and per restaurant each day to prevent abuse.
How to get better answers
The more accurate your descriptions, prices and calories, the better the recommendations. Translate the menu so English-speaking customers understand your items too.
Available on the Premium and Business plans. On the Free plan the button is not shown to customers.
